More pictures

The beautiful sky above the ruins of Fountains Abbey. Marilyn and I walked around the grounds and were almost locked into the estate as the sun was setting. This was one of the most beautiful ruins I had even seen in England.
There are tones of birds on the river, on most days a cold wind seems to blow along the river path. This is a typical sight walking home from the town center. When I have a loaf of bread from the market in my bag the birds always pay more attention than this.

York in View

York and the River Ouse, this is the view from Marilyn's front door looking out onto the path along the river that takes you into the center of town. Above is the view from Clifford's Tower an old towner that was once a military lookout but now overlooking a museum square in York, the clouds move over the sky very quickly here, bringing both sunshine and ran within minutes of each other.

Before I Leave

Well there should always be documentation.
First item to be documented:
I will admit that I feel completely unprepared for this trip, I'm not sure where I will go, who I will meet, and what will happen, let alone what to pack! but honestly that is the real reason why I'm leaving on a plane in four days with no itinerary: because I need to live this life!
Did I mention that I shaved off all of my hair? Well I did and the new experiences just keep coming.  So here's to it!!
